Okanagan HC Dominates Calgary Rockies in 6-2 Victory

The Okanagan HC 18U AAA squad came out firing on all cylinders, setting the tone early in a commanding 6-2 road victory over the Calgary Rockies. Okanagan's Linden Rogers opened the scoring just 37 seconds into the game, and the visitors never looked back. After Jayden Campbell capitalized on a power play to make it 2-0, Calgary's Devon Beecher answered back to cut the deficit, but Rogers struck again late in the period to restore the two-goal lead. The Rockies struggled to contain Okanagan's special teams and offensive depth, despite putting up a strong 16-shot effort in the second period.

The middle frame saw Okanagan extend their lead with two more crucial goals. Boston Ciccone was the standout, scoring shorthanded early in the period and then adding a power play goal later to complete a multi-goal performance. The Rockies' discipline began to fray, with penalties to Jackson Cowan and a misconduct to Liam Beswick hampering any chance of a comeback. Linden Rogers netted his second of the game late in the period, sealing a dominant offensive display for the visitors. William Marshall was a wall in net for Okanagan, turning aside all 37 shots he faced to secure the win.

Calgary managed to find a consolation goal in the third period when Seth Scutt beat Marshall, assisted by Nolan Van Waes and Emery Haxby, but it was too little, too late. The game grew increasingly chippy down the stretch, with Okanagan’s Hendrix Whittle taking a double minor for butt-ending and Caleb Lankoff called for charging. Despite a late push, the Rockies couldn't solve Marshall again, as Okanagan’s disciplined structure and opportunistic scoring proved insurmountable in a decisive 6-2 final.
