The 18U AAA HC Edmonton squad delivered a dominant road performance, cruising to a 7-3 victory over Bow Valley HC in a game that was as much about offensive firepower as it was about mounting tensions. The visitors set the tone early, outshooting Bow Valley 17-6 in the opening period. Despite the barrage, it was Bow Valley's Jakub Lorenc who opened the scoring, assisted by Wayne Sun, to give the home side a brief lead. Edmonton responded quickly, however, with Braden Saulou knotting the game at 1-1 late in the first, setting the stage for their takeover. The second period saw Edmonton seize control, with Chase Harrington, Ryder Forster, and Felix Hawryluk—who netted the eventual game-winner—all finding the back of the net to build a commanding 4-1 lead.
The third period descended into chaos as the physical play boiled over, with a staggering parade of penalties including multiple misconducts and a game misconduct to an Edmonton coach. Amidst the chippy play, Edmonton's offense never relented. Ty Edwards and Tiago Chanak, who scored twice in the frame including a power-play marker, extended the lead to 7-1. The relentless pressure from Edmonton, who finished with a 42-30 shot advantage, was simply too much for Bow Valley goalie Ivan Tourin to handle. To their credit, Bow Valley showed fight until the final buzzer, with NiKylo Emerson and Kade Davidson scoring late power-play and even-strength goals to add some respectability to the scoreline.
Individual performances told the story of the night. For Edmonton, Tavin Vos was a playmaking force, racking up three assists, while Chanak's two third-period goals highlighted a balanced attack. Goaltender Kade Swanson was credited with the win, backstopping his team to victory. For Bow Valley, the night was a struggle against discipline and a potent opponent, with Daniel Dvorácek finding himself in the penalty box multiple times before receiving a misconduct. While the late push provided a spark, the early deficit and Edmonton's sustained offensive zone time proved insurmountable, handing HC Edmonton a decisive and hard-fought road win.
