The 15U AAA South Sask HC put on a clinic at both ends of the ice, overwhelming the Calgary Rockies in a decisive 6-1 victory. The game started with the Rockies striking first, as Kiefer Tangedal found the back of the net early in the first period, assisted by Dawson Berdula. This early lead, however, would be the only bright spot for the visitors. The first period was a physical affair, with Calgary's Matteo Shular taking two quick hooking minors and South Sask's Johnny Stewart being called for boarding, setting a chippy tone for the contest.
The second period belonged entirely to the home team, as South Sask unleashed an offensive explosion. Jett Girodat kicked off the scoring spree, netting the game-winning goal with assists from Connor Hart-Livingston and Cooper Hale. This opened the floodgates, as Braydon Wilcox scored just minutes later, starting his impressive three-point night. The line of Riley Ducharme, Wilcox, and Tyson Tietz proved unstoppable; Ducharme scored a goal of his own, while Tietz and Wilcox continued to pile up the assists. The relentless pressure culminated in a goal from defenseman Maxwell Jameson, assisted once again by the prolific Wilcox, giving South Sask a commanding 5-1 lead heading into the final frame.
South Sask continued their dominance in the third period, adding two more goals to seal the victory. Kyllar Osberg scored early, with Cooper Hale picking up his second helper of the game. Tyson Tietz then capped off his multi-point night with a goal, assisted by Connor Hart-Livingston and the ever-present Braydon Wilcox. The only blemish for South Sask in the period was a goalie interference penalty to Knox Butler. The shot totals told the story of the game, with South Sask firing a staggering 65 shots on goal compared to just 21 from the Rockies, a testament to their relentless offensive pressure and territorial control from start to finish.
