The Langley HA 15U AAA team delivered a masterclass in offensive pressure and defensive discipline, cruising to a decisive 5-0 victory over Okanagan HC. From the opening faceoff, Langley established a relentless forecheck, outshooting their opponents by a staggering 73-27 margin over the course of the game. The tone was set early when a penalty to Okanagan's Taylor Linde gave Langley a power play, which Noah Keith capitalized on at 18:40 of the first period, assisted by Theodore Kim and Mattias Nord. The lead doubled just minutes later when Xavier Wellard was awarded a penalty shot and made no mistake, giving Langley a commanding 2-0 lead before the first intermission.
Okanagan HC struggled to find any rhythm, spending much of the first period in the penalty box. Despite a valiant 60-minute effort from goaltender Sanjay Basdeo, who faced an onslaught of 73 shots, the dam eventually broke. Langley's power play continued to click in the second period, with Tanner Chahal scoring just 30 seconds into the frame, again with helpers from Kim and Nord. The third period saw more of the same, as Easton Neuner added another power-play goal before Noah Keith netted his second of the game, this time at even strength from Chahal, to seal the 5-0 final.
The game's physicality escalated as the score widened, culminating in a chaotic sequence at the final buzzer. Okanagan's Connor Steele received a major and multiple game misconducts for cross-checking, while Langley's Bryson Miller also picked up a misconduct. For Langley, goaltender Mason Guiel was perfect when called upon, turning aside all 27 shots he faced to earn a well-deserved shutout. This was a statement win for Langley, showcasing a potent offense led by Keith's two goals and a stifling defense that completely neutralized Okanagan's attack from start to finish.
