The 14U AAA South Sask HC delivered a commanding performance on the road, overwhelming the Titans Hockey Union with an 8-1 victory. From the opening puck drop, South Sask established control, outshooting the Titans 15-5 in the first period and never looking back. Gavin Johnson got the visitors on the board early, scoring just 1:01 into the game with an assist from Rylan Crittenden. The pressure continued as Gavin Mackow netted the eventual game-winner at the 6:04 mark, with helpers from Rowen Istace and Oaklen Rogers. Istace would add a goal of his own later in the period, assisted again by Rogers, to give South Sask a formidable 3-0 lead heading into the intermission. The Titans struggled with discipline early, taking interference and charging minors, which only compounded the challenge of containing the relentless South Sask attack.
The Titans showed a brief spark of life in the second period when Bennett Tkachuk, assisted by Reid Huscroft and Ridge Stevenson, scored at 1:24 to cut the deficit to 3-1. However, any momentum was quickly snuffed out by South Sask's special teams. Shortly after a penalty to Gavin Mackow, Dax Perkins scored a crucial shorthanded goal, assisted by the ever-present Oaklen Rogers, to restore the three-goal cushion. The period belonged to Rowen Istace, who completed a natural hat trick with two more even-strength goals. His second of the period was set up by Rogers, and his third came from Jase O'Hara, sending South Sask into the final frame with a commanding 6-1 lead. The Titans' Bennett Tkachuk took an interference penalty late in the period, foreshadowing more penalty trouble to come.
Any hope of a miraculous comeback was extinguished in the third period as South Sask continued to pour it on, firing 18 shots on goal. Gavin Mackow netted his second of the night, again from Rylan Crittenden, to make it 7-1. The Titans' frustration mounted, resulting in three more minor penalties in the period. On the power play resulting from a check from behind call on Sebastien Jolicoeur Gagnon, Bryce Scrupps capped off the scoring for South Sask with a power-play marker. The final score of 8-1 reflected South Sask's complete dominance, led by a four-point night from playmaker Oaklen Rogers and a hat-trick performance from Rowen Istace, while the Titans were left to regroup after a tough outing on home ice.
