The game started with early special teams action as Edmonton's Trystan Tse capitalized on a power play midway through the first period, assisted by Parker Garlitos and Fionn Finley. Just minutes later, while shorthanded, Brayden Kuo extended Edmonton's lead, setting the tone for a game where Edmonton's depth would prove overwhelming. Edmonton's Jayden Gardner earned the win in net, turning aside all shots he faced for a shutout performance. The game was also marred by numerous penalties, including several for illegal checks to the head, with Edmonton's Parker Garlitos and Bow Valley's Sloan Kinch both receiving misconducts. In the end, HC Edmonton's offensive firepower and disciplined structure after a chippy start proved too much for Bow Valley to handle.
