The Coquitlam HC 14U AAA squad delivered a commanding performance on the road, skating to a decisive 5-2 victory over the Victoria HA. The game got off to a dramatic start when Victoria's Carson Beaumont was assessed a major penalty for checking from behind just 58 seconds into the contest. Coquitlam capitalized on the momentum when Sora Kodama opened the scoring at the 19:34 mark of the first period, assisted by Yuvraaj Bains. Victoria responded on the power play later in the period, with Jayce Ward finding the net with helpers from Ryder Martel and RJ Mattin to even the score at 1-1 heading into the first intermission.
The second period proved to be the turning point as Coquitlam erupted for three unanswered goals. The game-winner came early in the frame when an unlisted Coquitlam player scored just 2:02 into the period, assisted by Grayson Ng. That same player struck again midway through the period, extending the lead to 3-1 with assists from Noah Olson and Keigan Sherman. Victoria's Ethan Kersten briefly brought his team back within one, scoring with help from Dominic Quast to make it 3-2. But Coquitlam restored their two-goal cushion before the period ended when Emerson Papadatos scored with assists from Yujun Lee and Yuvraaj Bains, giving the visitors a 4-2 lead heading into the final frame.
The third period saw Victoria desperately pushing for a comeback, firing an impressive 21 shots on net, but Coquitlam's defensive structure and goaltending held firm. The physical play continued with multiple minor penalties assessed to both sides, including coincidental unsportsmanlike conduct calls to Victoria's Niko Stamatakis and Coquitlam's Emerson Papadatos. With Victoria pressing hard and pulling their goalie for an extra attacker, Papadatos sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the final minute, assisted by goaltender Elijah Baxter, to complete the 5-2 final. Despite being outshot 45-29 overall, Coquitlam's efficiency and timely scoring proved decisive in securing the road win.
