The Titans Hockey Union came out with power-play precision but couldn't withstand a relentless offensive onslaught from Bow Valley HC, falling 5-3 in a penalty-filled contest. The game started brightly for the home Titans when Bennett Tkachuk capitalized on an early power play, finishing a setup from Joshua Peddle and Max Bannink. The momentum continued into the second period as Paxton Boisvert buried another power-play marker, assisted by Maddox Peddle and Landon Rupp, giving the Titans a 2-0 lead and seemingly firm control of the game.
That control evaporated in a stunning second-period collapse. Bow Valley erupted for five unanswered goals in a dominant nine-minute stretch. Mikko Nicol started the rally, followed quickly by Brett Gach. Henry Johnson then gave Bow Valley its first lead, before Levi Irwin scored twice in a 14-second span—his second goal coming shorthanded—to completely swing the game. The Titans managed a late response from Boisvert, his second of the game from Brody Andruchow and Joshua Peddle, but it was too little, too late. The penalty sheet was heavily marked, with both teams combining for nine minors, including multiple infractions for players like Brodie Breault, Kai Lorenzo III, and Landon Rupp.
Despite being outshot 44-26, Bow Valley's goaltending tandem was the difference. Oscar Blackmore started and turned away 16 of 18 shots through the first period and a half, while Nolan Wilde was nearly perfect in relief, stopping 44 of 45 shots he faced in a remarkable performance. For the Titans, Kolt Elanik faced a barrage of 44 shots in the losing effort. The game ultimately turned on Bow Valley's explosive middle frame and their ability to capitalize at even strength and shorthanded, handing the Titans a tough lesson in closing out games.
