In a commanding performance on the road, the 14U AAA HC Edmonton squad blanked Island HC by a score of 4-0. From the opening puck drop, Edmonton established a relentless offensive presence, outshooting the home team 13-5 in the first period alone. The pressure paid off midway through the frame when Spencer Cox, assisted by Carmine Chanak, broke the ice with the eventual game-winning goal at 6:30. Just under two minutes later, Magnus Lindberg doubled the lead, finishing a setup from Grayson Moulds to give Edmonton a comfortable 2-0 advantage heading into the intermission.
The second period saw Edmonton continue to control the tempo, firing 15 shots on net while limiting Island HC to just two. Bentley Homstol extended the lead to three, converting a feed from Cruz Mounsey early in the period. Parker Garlitos then capped off the scoring for Edmonton, finding the back of the net with help from Logan Ko. Despite a more spirited effort from Island HC in the third period, where they managed 11 shots, they could not solve Edmonton's impenetrable defense and goaltending.
The story of the game, however, was written in the crease. HC Edmonton's netminder Shaheya Morin was flawless, turning aside all 18 shots he faced to record a shutout victory. At the other end, Island HC's Brantley Kristensen faced an onslaught, seeing 49 shots from a disciplined and aggressive Edmonton attack. The game was not without its physical edge, as Edmonton's Jack Kemila and Parker Garlitos each took two minor penalties, while Island HC's Davin Ekren and Grayson Monea also found themselves in the box. In the end, HC Edmonton’s thorough dominance in all facets of the game secured them a decisive and well-earned road win.
