The Langley HA 14U AAA squad delivered a commanding performance from start to finish, blanking Victoria HA 6-0 in a game where they controlled the ice in every facet. Langley’s offensive pressure was relentless, outshooting Victoria 58-14 over the course of the game. The tone was set early when Kayden Montaine opened the scoring at 17:20 of the first period, assisted by Samarpreet Hansra and Hayden Pothier. That goal would stand as the game-winner, but it was only the beginning of Langley’s onslaught.
Langley truly broke the game open in the second period, striking for four goals. Jaxxon Dueck capitalized on a power play early in the period, followed quickly by an even-strength marker from Mason Shelley. Jack Walker and Kayden Montaine, with his second of the night, added to the tally before the period was out, building an insurmountable 5-0 lead. The period was also marked by physical play, with minors called on Victoria's Jhett Gervais and Langley's Brett Bailey and Mason Shelley. Langley’s puck movement was exceptional, with Jaivin Randhawa picking up two assists and Michael Kralj also helping set up a goal.
Any hope of a Victoria comeback was extinguished in the third period when Nathan Martin scored on the power play, with Montaine earning his third assist of the night to complete a stellar three-point performance. Langley goaltender Axton Charboneau was perfect when called upon, turning aside all 14 shots he faced to secure the shutout victory. Despite a brave effort in net from George Boyle, who faced a barrage of 58 shots for Victoria, his team could not solve Charboneau or contain Langley’s dynamic offense, which saw multi-point nights from Montaine, Dueck, and Randhawa in a display of sheer dominance.
