South Sask responded quickly with Rowen Istace answering just 39 seconds later, setting the tone for a game that would feature multiple lead changes and relentless offensive pressure.
The second period became a goal-scoring frenzy with five total markers. South Sask surged ahead with goals from Gavin Mackow and Jase O'Hara, but Titans goaltender Jax Russell responded in spectacular fashion by scoring a goal himself to keep his team in the fight. Oaklen Rogers and Rowen Istace struck again for South Sask, but Joshua Peddle's late period goal kept the Titans within striking distance at 5-3 heading into the final frame. The physical play intensified throughout with multiple minor penalties, including two charging calls against Titans' Brody Andruchow.
The third period saw the Titans mount an incredible comeback. Zayden Gehring scored early to cut the deficit, but Rylan Crittenden answered for South Sask to restore their two-goal advantage. Then the Titans' offense exploded with Paxton Boisvert and Landon Rupp scoring just 20 seconds apart to tie the game at 6-6. The game turned when South Sask's Dax Perkins received a major penalty for checking from behind with just 1:15 remaining.
