Victoria HA Edges Island HC in Tight 14U AAA Battle

In a hard-fought Junior Prospects Hockey League matchup, the 14U AAA Victoria HA squad secured a narrow 2-1 victory over rivals 14U AAA Island HC. The game was a defensive battle from the start, with both teams trading chances and matching each other shot-for-shot in the opening period. Victoria drew first blood late in the first when Austin Joyce found the back of the net at even strength, giving the home team an early lead and setting the tone for a closely contested affair.

The second period saw the momentum swing back and forth. Island HC answered back midway through the frame when Liam McNaughton buried a feed from Austin Coutu to tie the game. However, Victoria responded just over eight minutes later as Dominic Quast netted the eventual game-winner, with helpers from Jhett Gervais and Evan Holfeld.
