The game began with the Titans striking first, as Lincoln Bartel found the back of the net early in the first period, assisted by Shepard Lehto. However, Island HC responded with a dominant second period, unleashing a 20-shot barrage that yielded three goals. Jihwan Hwang and Gavin Robertshaw scored even-strength markers before Wyatt Fyfe capitalized on a power play, giving Island HC a commanding 3-1 lead heading into the final frame.
The third period was an offensive explosion, with the teams combining for five goals. Island HC extended their lead to 5-1 with another power-play goal from Wyatt Fyfe and a second even-strength tally from Gavin Robertshaw. Just when it seemed the game was out of reach, the Titans mounted a furious comeback. Chayce Adams and Declan Benson scored to cut the deficit to 5-3, and with the goalie pulled in the final minute, Lincoln Bartel netted his second of the game to make it a one-goal contest. Despite a final flurry from the Titans, who outshot Island HC 15-13 in the period, they simply ran out of time.
The game was a tale of special teams and shot volume. Island HC's power play was clinical, converting on two of their opportunities, while the Titans were hampered by penalties, including a major to Kiran George. Despite being outshot 71-29 overall, Titans goalie Felix Rossignol was a wall, making an incredible 55 saves to keep his team in the fight. For Island HC, Marek Fisher recorded the win in net.
