Langley HA Dominates Victoria in 4-1 Road Victory

The Langley HA 17U AAA squad set the tone early and never looked back, skating to a convincing 4-1 victory over the Victoria HA. The game opened with a flurry of action as Langley's Ryan Morris, assisted by Axen Peterson, found the back of the net just 1:09 into the first period. Victoria answered back midway through the period when Linden Alsdorf converted a setup from Haze Helle and William Brain to tie the game at 1-1. However, with just 22 seconds remaining in the opening frame, Langley's Reid Birtch scored what would stand as the game-winning goal, assisted by Mason Cvitkovich, giving his team a lead they would not relinquish.

The middle frame was a goaltending duel, with Langley's Nevan Coburn turning aside all six shots he faced and Victoria's Caleb O'Gorman making ten saves to keep his team within striking distance. The physicality picked up as the game progressed, with both teams taking minor penalties. Langley finally broke through again in the third period when Tyson Osterberg, set up once more by the effective duo of Ryan Morris and Axen Peterson, extended the lead to 3-1. Victoria pushed hard late, outshooting Langley 9-11 in the final period, but Coburn stood tall in the Langley net.
