From the opening faceoff, the Langley HA 17U AAA squad asserted their dominance in a commanding 11-0 victory over the visiting Victoria HA. The tone was set early when forward Liam Wasmuth, wearing #64, broke the deadlock at the 13:05 mark of the first period, converting a setup from Ryan Morris for the eventual game-winning goal. Despite an early cross-checking penalty to Axen Peterson (#92), Langley's relentless pressure never wavered. The floodgates truly opened in a spectacular second period, where Langley erupted for six unanswered goals in under seven minutes. The offensive clinic featured a pair of goals from both Theodore Kim (#83) and Tyson Osterberg (#47), with Osterberg's second of the period assisted by Micah Sidhu and Mason Cvitkovich. Ryan Morris (#21) also found the back of the net, capping a dominant middle frame that saw Langley outshoot Victoria 15-7.
The third period showcased Langley's depth and special teams prowess. Despite taking three minor penalties, including a boarding call to Preston Penno (#28) and a hooking minor to Ryan Morris, Langley's penalty kill was not only stellar but also productive. Micah Sidhu (#12) scored a crucial shorthanded goal, assisted by Mason Cvitkovich (#8), to extend the lead. Sidhu would add another even-strength tally later in the period, while Ivan Latyshev (#56) and Tyson Osterberg completed his hat trick with a power-play marker in the final minute. Between the pipes, Langley's Aidan Lazazzera (#31) was a fortress, turning aside all 19 shots he faced to earn a well-deserved shutout victory. For Victoria, goalies Alex Dorrell (#72) and Jack Swan (#35) faced an overwhelming barrage, combining to face 43 shots in a difficult outing for the visitors.
The final buzzer sounded on a complete team performance from Langley, who showcased explosive offense, a perfect penalty kill, and impenetrable goaltending. Standout performances were plentiful, with Tyson Osterberg's hat trick, multi-point games from Micah Sidhu, Theodore Kim, Ryan Morris, and Mason Cvitkovich, and the shutout by Aidan Lazazzera defining the lopsided affair. For Victoria, the result was a tough lesson, as they struggled to generate sustained pressure against a Langley team that controlled the game from start to finish in a definitive statement win.
