The Langley HA 17U AAA squad unleashed a relentless offensive attack, firing 39 shots on goal en route to a decisive 6-3 road victory over Island HC. The visitors set the tone early, dominating the first period with a 15-8 shot advantage. Ivan Latyshev opened the scoring for Langley at the 6:25 mark of the first, assisted by Aric Reeve and Cashton Smith. Just before the horn, Micah Sidhu doubled the lead, converting a feed from Ryan Morris to give Langley a commanding 2-0 lead heading into the intermission.
Island HC found a spark early in the second period. With Langley's Zachary Smith in the box for slashing, Kyle Mori capitalized on the power play, assisted by Casey Bukta, to cut the deficit to 2-1. However, Langley quickly extinguished any momentum. Cashton Smith answered back just over seven minutes later, and then Preston Penno netted what would stand as the game-winner, assisted by Ryan Morris and Micah Sidhu. A wild exchange followed as Island's Mateo Lobos-Worger scored to make it 4-2, only for Langley's Ivan Latyshev to complete his two-goal night less than a minute later. Island's Cullin Camarta, assisted by Lobos-Worger, would score once more before the period ended, but Langley carried a 5-3 lead into the final frame.
The third period saw Langley tighten their grip on the game, with Tyson Osterberg adding an insurance goal midway through, assisted by Austyn Krabbendam. Despite a late push that saw Island HC outshoot Langley 13-8 in the period, they could not solve Langley goaltender Aidan Lazazzera again. The game was a showcase for Langley's top line, as Ryan Morris and Micah Sidhu each tallied three assists, while Ivan Latyshev's two goals led the scoring charge. For Island HC, Mateo Lobos-Worger was a bright spot with a goal and an assist, but the team's comeback bid fell short against Langley's potent and consistent offense.
