Zachary Smith opened the scoring just 1:32 into the first period, assisted by Tyson Osterberg and Aric Reeve. Langley dominated the shot count in the opening frame, outshooting the Wolves HC 23-2, but Wolves goalie Mathias Wright stood tall to keep his team within striking distance. The middle period turned into a wild back-and-forth affair. Seth Wright extended Langley's lead early, but the Wolves responded with three consecutive goals. Jaxon Burkosky-Gilmour got the Wolves on the board, followed quickly by Tearin McKeigue and a marker from Dominick Colbourne to suddenly give the visitors a 3-2 lead, stunning the home crowd.
Langley regained their composure and seized control in the third period, capitalizing on their special teams. Carden Fraser tied the game on the power play, and just moments after killing a penalty, Reid Birtch scored a shorthanded goal to put Langley back in front. The game-winning goal came off the stick of KJ Raymond on another power play, giving Langley a lead they would not relinquish. Douglas Werth managed to pull one back for the Wolves to make it a one-goal game, but Mason Cvitkovich sealed the 6-4 victory for Langley with an even-strength goal late in the period. Despite being heavily outshot 69-16 overall, the Wolves made it a contest, but Langley's offensive depth and timely scoring proved to be the difference.
