The Langley HA unleashed a relentless offensive attack, outshooting the Kootenay HA 54-31 on their way to a decisive 8-3 victory. The game started with a flurry of goals, as Langley's Ivan Latyshev opened the scoring early, only for Kootenay's Carter Vanderloos to answer back less than three minutes later. Kootenay's Jacob Rogers then gave the home team a surprising 2-1 lead, assisted by Preston Oler, but that would prove to be the high point of their night. Langley's goalie tandem was formidable; Nevan Coburn started and made 9 saves on 12 shots, while Mason Guiel was perfect in relief, stopping all 21 shots he faced over the final 33 minutes to completely shut the door.
The tide turned decisively in the second period. Langley's Dominic Hall tied the game early, and though Vanderloos netted his second of the night for Kootenay to briefly restore the lead, Langley responded with authority. Tyson Osterberg scored to knot the game at 3-3, setting the stage for a dominant third-period explosion. Langley's Theodore Kim was the catalyst, orchestrating a five-goal final frame. He assisted on Latyshev's go-ahead goal and his second of the game, then scored two of his own and added another helper, finishing with a staggering four-point period. Latyshev completed his hat-trick, and the Langley attack proved simply overwhelming for Kootenay goalie Mateo Sinclair, who faced a barrage of 23 third-period shots.
The game's physical intensity boiled over in the final minutes, resulting in a string of roughing minors and a major incident. Kootenay's Liam Roberts was assessed a cross-checking major and a game misconduct with just 40 seconds remaining, capping a frustrating night for the home side. While Kootenay showed flashes of fight through Vanderloos and Rogers, they were ultimately undone by Langley's depth and a spectacular performance from the line of Kim and Latyshev, who combined for seven points in the third period alone to seal a commanding road win.
